LAUREN MACLEAN

Lauren lives in Port Moody, British Columbia, with her husband, two young toddlers and energetic puppy. She is the author of the children’s picture book, Me and My Sit Spot, and the host of the Mentoring Nature Connections podcast where she interviews educators from across North America on the importance of outdoor learning and play. She is a grade 1 / 2 teacher at her neighbourhood school, and you will often find her exploring the forest trails with her toddlers in her free time.

Fun Fact

Lauren played on the Canadian National Field Hockey team for many years. She went to the Olympic Qualifier Tournament and just missed out on qualifying for the Beijing Olympics. Ugh!!!

Join River and Sage on a heartwarming journey of self-discovery in the great outdoors. River is cautious and reserved, while Sage is bold and adventurous. Together, they explore nature's wonders, learning valuable lessons from each other. River gains the courage to step outside his comfort zone, and Sage discovers the importance of mindfulness. Through their shared experiences, they realize that their unique strengths are essential for personal growth and understanding.

 

"Finding Common Ground" celebrates the magic of outdoor play and learning, showing how nature fosters connections and helps us appreciate both the world around us and the diverse strengths within ourselves and others.
